Taken when I was in Hong Kong sometime in March this year. I know the title isn’t terribly imaginative, but at least I am still keeping with the tradition of naming all the outfit posts after songs on my iTunes!

Black Outfit breakdown:

  • Dress: Mongkok, Hong Kong
  • Jacket: Zara, London
  • Harness: Mongkok, Hong Kong
  • Shoes: Primark

I figured it would be a good time now to blog a little more in-depth about the places we travel to. After all, June is the peak holiday season and so many people are heaving off for a holiday! Unfortunately I will be grounded in Singapore for quite a while.

Generally speaking, shopping in Hong Kong isn’t as cheap as China or Taiwan, and it can get really confusing and disorientating after a while because of the way the malls are laid out. However, Hong Kong is an amazing place to purchase authentic designer duds. Summer sales in Hong Kong really do take a pretty chunk off brands like Louis Vuitton and Givenchy. Furthermore, Hong Kong houses many brands not available in the region. There is a couple of Vivienne Westwood boutiques there, and guerrilla stores houses brands such as Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester, Maison Martin Margiela and Acne amongst a few.

That said, should any of you have questions about places we have travelled to, please feel free to email us or head over to our formspring. While we are not a travel blog, we are still able to dish out a tip or two with regards to shopping. We are always eager to share where we get our loots from!

I am finally back from Germany! Though I miss the beautiful places and the weather, I do not miss freezing my butt off. I should really visit during summer next time.

I am usually not a fan of cropped jackets, but this was on sale for £6 and I am a cheap bastard.

I am in love with this jacket I just purchased in London.

I love that bracelet because it kind of reminds me of ID tags.

And these boots are made for walking and world domination.

Darkness of the unknown 01

I bought a new dress this week. This probably makes it my 5397269834th black outfit.

Don’t remind me how many variations of this dress I have in my wardrobe. This one has a longer hemline at the back which makes it awesome. Your argument is therefore invalid.

It’s been raining everyday for the past 2 weeks ( I think…) and it was so hard to catch the sun. When I saw that it was up and there were patches of blue I ran out immediately to have pictures taken instead of just having it at the same old place.
Alas, I have been tricked, I got an awesomely treacherous looking sky instead.

Darkness of the unknown 02

It wasn’t shortly after this picture was taken, a downpour was upon me. /gloom

I am loving this pair of thigh high boots and the gloves with pyramid stud details. Yes, I know it’s inappropriate for Singapore’s weather but a girl can play dressup can’t she? ; )

I haven’t been to Paris for the longest time. What luck to be visiting when the sun is still shining although it’s turning cold. It’s a great opportunity to layer up and play with textures and shape.

We’re bringing some Singaporean streetstyle into Paris here, it’s like taking a fishball from a bowl of hot soup and throwing it into a bowl of iced water, weird analogy I know.

I bought this dress with a strange scarf hanging about, I have no plans for it. It was just hanging around the general area of my luggage, so I threw it in.

Upon layering it with a simple long sleeved top, I find that the silhouette resembles the Complex Geometries A/w 2009 collection. Awesome.

And it’s the perfect opportunity to wear my the Zara thigh high boots which I bought some time back while shopping in London. I wish the thigh area would fit snugly though, it all crumply looking.
