Been procrastinating on this set of photos for a while cause it’s the last set of outfit photos I have that’s shot by Dawn. It’s kinda unsettling when the fact hits you like that and we’ve never really discussed how a farewell is going to be like or what is going to become of this blog (both of us didn’t take farewells very well believe me).

And it’s really scary when your best friend leaves, it’s worse than going through a breakup. You automatically assume that you can replace your ex-boyfriend with another one but when it comes to best friends, there is no one that can replace them. Okay, I’m making it sound like Dawn and I have broken up, which isn’t the case but yeah, I miss her.

This is turning out to be a sappy open love letter to Dawn so I should really stop and talk about the outfit instead. :/

This pair of Rick Owens makes my feet hurt like a bitch. I have shoes that are painful to wear but this definitely ranks in like the top 3.

Knuckle rings! I wish I had bought another set for the other hand as well, maybe I should get round to it when I feel like shopping online.

We threw in some leather accents in this outfit. Who says you can’t wear leather in Singapore?

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Asymmetrical tank top: Necessary clothing, NYC
  • Leather shorts: H&M
  • Tights: Topshop
  • Alexander Wang inspired bag: Taobao
  • Shoes: Rick Owens
  • Knuckle rings: ASOS
  • Leather wrist cuffs: H&M

I have not found much occasion to wear this blouse, which I bought in London a year ago. It is partly due to the button fastenings at the front.. You’d think someone would put a hidden zipper on this blouse for easy wearing, but hale naw. They gotta torture me with a million tiny buttons. I am also a very clumsy and impatient person, and will inevitably end up attaching the button to the wrong button hole…cue me throwing this blouse away in anger rather than to unbutton the entire thing.

I am sorry for looking so hot…literally. The makeup was practically melting off my face that day.

Outfit Breakdown:

  • Top: Topshop consignment
  • Skirt: m)phosis
  • Tights: China
  • Shoes: China
  • Cuffs: Fürrmuse, Bali

A few miscellaneous picture of our lunch… Rider’s Cafe sure doesn’t skim on their portions! It is really good for people who can inhale the entire universe in one sitting for lunch (i.e. me)

Mushroom soup with white truffle oil. Amazing chunky thick mushroomy goodness, yum.

Schitzel with scallion mash. Everything tastes good mixed in mash – it’s truly a mystery. I am inclined to believe that mash can even make baby puke taste good.

Angus fillet with herb butter. It is a truth universally acknowledged, that the most delicious food must also be the most fattening. I think the salad is just there to act as a placebo in order to not make you feel guilty for consuming an entire day’s worth of calories in one sitting.

Best way to end a meal is with even more carbohydrates. Why is the combination of scones and clotted cream so, so very good? The scones may not be aesthetically pleasing, but mein Gott were they delicious.

Arissa and I went down to Singapore Toys, Games and Comic Convention (STGCC) to lend our support to a couple of friends as well as to pretend to be kids for a little while. You can never be too old for toys and games! Simone Legno, designer of Tokidoki was there as well, and we never know he had so many (really hardcore) fans in Singapore! Had the queue for not been so long, we would have brought Arissa’s Tokidoki makeup pouch for signing. :D

Decided to wear my tallest pair of shoes that day. They remind me a little of Vivienne Westwood‘s Rocking Horse Shoes from the front! I might dye the soles black some day when I’m not feeling too lazy, I am not a big fan of cork soles and I really miss doing DIYs on this blog. Sweater is a very recent purchase from the new Topshop/Topman flagship store in Knightsbridge. (There is always some confusion when we say Knightsbridge, because Arissa and I would think of Knightsbridge in London instead of Singapore. They really need to come up with more original names.) It’s pretty badass, although still a far, far cry from the flagship store in Oxford Circus. Definitely more selection than the other Topshops, though!

Faux fur keyfob. It is one of those things that will be so passé a few months later, but you can’t resist getting some while it is still trendy.

Love, love suspender tights. I really need to get more!

Kitty ring from a friend who just came back from Japan. It reminds me a little of Chousie Butts.

Outfit Breakdown:

  • Sweater: Topshop
  • Camisole (worn inside): H&M
  • Skirt: City Plaza
  • Suspender tights: Topshop
  • Shoes: Heatwave
  • Bag: m)phosis
  • Tail keyfob: Wholesale
  • Ring: Swimmer

Ohai everyone. ????~!!!

It seems like a long time since I’ve posted an outfit I really wish I had a personal photographer to hang around me all day. But speaking of which, I had 2 person taking photos for me the other day. How lucky am I? It was a lovely day with Brad and Valerie and we had really tasty Dim Sum (omg the custard buns!!!) at Neil Road. I expect Brad to post about it on his food blog so I can direct all of you there when it’s up. He’s an awesome food photographer btw.

Time for some good ol’ Singapore Streetstyle.

And this shot is by Val~ have I mentioned she’s the reigning Miss Earth Singapore? Go visit her blog now.

I’ll be really honest here. I haven’t worn anything that isn’t jersey for a really long time. This dress came just in time to break that routine. I love the drapey collar and how i can button up the front in different ways to create different looks and since the fabric itself isn’t very heavy, it is easy to wear it in Singapore but yet I can also wear it over knits and long sleeves when I’m overseas.

Accessories today were a mish-mash of whatever stuff I dug out of my accessory pile that’s gunmetal grey. That pixel watch is still my favorite watch to wear.

I also got my hands on these lovely suspender looking tights from Topshop. They really remind me of the Henry Holland for Pretty Polly Mock stockings that was all the rage after Rumi of Fashiontoast got her hands on one (The Henry Holland ones are all sold out btw, unless you wanna try eBay, damn scalpers!!!) This one is more girly with the scallop edges and hearts.

And then there is this bag which I got from this shop in Shinjuku, Tokyo. It’s called Twisty, located in Studio Alta if anyone is interested. They house many of the Gyaru fashion labels and I occasionally find things that suits my taste. The shop that stocks these bags is awesome with beautiful bag charms and studded goodness. I had to tear myself away.

These shoes remind me soooooo much of the Givenchy S/S 2010 jersey mummy wedges (omg I want them so much) cos they are ridiculously high that I had to buy them. I’m not usually a fan of suede as Singapore has really unpredictable weather and I don’t want to ruin them in the rain but they looked too awesome to give it a pass.

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Camisole: Old Navy
  • Shorts: umm… I don’t rly remember
  • Wedges: Aldo
  • Bag: Twisty
  • Tights: Topshop
  • Accessories: m)phosis, Diva and some other random places.
  • Watch: MoMa design store
