In case this post isn’t obvious enough, I am absolutely obsessed with cropped tops and you know how things go down with Dawn and I; once we are obsessed with something, we end up buying multiples of it.

That is the story of how I ended up with two more cropped tops from ASOS.

The UNIF Garter Skirt had been lying in my closet for quite some time and I wasn’t able to find a nice cropped top to go with it but now that summer is approaching, there are more cropped tops available online! I love the corset details and the fan-shaped lacing reminds me so much of medical corsets. It’s a little hard to sit down cause there are some bonings in the front which gets in the way.

I am also sporting TEAL HAIR now! I never really thought teal was my colour but the green undertones from my last hair colour will give it a turquoise colour when the teal fades out!

In case why anyone is wondering WHY my hair isn’t frizzy and fried after all that colouring and bleaching, it’s all thanks to Hairloom’s O3 treatment ($95 for all hair-length!!!!). Prior to the treatment, my hair was tangled even at my length and it was hard to dry my hair properly for fear of breakage. The treatment really saved it and the effects are pretty long-lasting as well. They are giving away a free O3 hair treatment when you colour your hair with them from now until 30 June 2013!

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Skirt: UNIF Garter Skirt (sadly, out of stock everywhere now)
  • Cropped top with strappy cut out neck: ASOS
  • Shoes: Acne Atacoma
  • Hair by Hairloom

Ask me where I would feel most out of place in with this funky hair and I’d probably tell you that it would have to be the gym. Imagine me in my gym gear and running shorts on the elliptical machine. Most people find that sight puzzling and I don’t blame them.

On a side note,it’s been a week and my hair colour is still going strong! I don’t know what kind of hair dye Hairloom uses but the pink and lavender is still pretty vivid.

This weekend outfit was haphazardly shot. I practically dragged Venetia out of H&M while exclaiming that “THERE’S STILL DAYLIGHT.” This pair of Ann Demeulemeester shoes remain one of my most comfortable shoes and I couldn’t be happier to brave Orchard Road on a weekend with them.

Black outfit breakdown:

  • Blouse: H&M Divided
  • Skirt: H&M
  • Necklace: Lip Service (Japan)
  • Shoes: Ann Demeulemeester
  • Hat: Some random store in Paris
  • Hair sponsored by Hairloom

I have an amazing backlog. This picture was taken when Dawn was still in Singapore at the NARS cosmetics launch. NARS was a great host that day, with its launch held at the Art Science Museum. I’ve been a huge fan of NARS since I first came across it in the US.

My apologies for not maintaining the blog well for the past 3 weeks, work has been keeping me really busy. I have newfound admiration for bloggers who are able to balance their blog with their work and this is something I have to work towards. For those that are reading this, thank you for sticking around. :)

Black Outfit breakdown:

  • Chiffon blouse: m)phosis
  • Jeans: H&M
  • Camisole: H&M
  • Shoes: taobao
  • Leather lunch bag: Anve

I really wish I lived in one of these charming colonial-era buildings. But as it is, I satisfy myself with shamelessly camwhoring in front of strangers’ properties.

I bought this American Apparel double-U dress almost a year ago during a massive warehouse sale in London. It really makes for a sexy yet elegant silhouette. I’m really glad they have started shipping to Singapore! Despite my endless complaints about the steep prices, I really find that my most-worn basics are from American Apparel. Their interlock pencil skirt is a perennial favourite.

I left so many of my shoes back home when I moved to London, that I have completely forgotten about the existence of this pair of wedges until a recent closet cleanout. Discovering clothes you have forgotten about is nearly as satisfying as buying new ones.

  • Double-U dress: American Apparel
  • Skirt: All Saints
  • Socks: Tutuanna, Japan
  • Shoes: Siren
  • Headband: Onespo / taobao.

That awkward moment when you realised all your poses are the same.

Finally took some of the items I ordered off Peeka outside for a spin! I originally planned to wear a flared skirt with this coordinate, but realised that the combination is probably a little too reminiscent of a schoolgirl’s outfit especially when paired with the simone rocha inspired oxfords.

Celine inspired bag off Taobao. I’m really keen to get my hands on the original, but this particular colourway never seems to be in stock in London :( This will suffice for time being!

Outfit breakdown

  • Shirt: The Scarlet Room
  • Skirt: H&M
  • Bag: Taobao via Peeka.sg
  • Accessories: Miu Miu, Alexander McQueen, H&M.
  • Wedges: Taobao

P.S. A few of you have been asking us which taobao shop we ordered the simone rocha inspired shoes off of, but we are hesitant to recommend one as the quality of mine isn’t exactly up to par. The shoes have obviously been dyed over red leather and it shows up with the slightest scuff. We really don’t want any of our readers to end up purchasing such items, so we are refraining from linking to any of the sellers until we can be assured of the quality. In any case, I would also like to recommend purchasing shipping insurance – if your item comes damaged or broken, Peeka’s customer service is really amazing at dealing with such matters and resolving the issue with the sellers!
