I can’t resist talking about the weather whenever I post an outfit post, weather’s got everything to do with the choice of garments chosen for the day. But then again, it’s not like Singapore’s weather offers much variation for clothing options.

These days, it seems like my uniform of choice is a long tank top + skinny jeans/leggings. I threw on a jacket cause it seemed like it was going to rain, alas weather forecasting in Singapore appear to be akin to predicting lottery results.

My hair is making me feel less and less like a girl. :/ Probably time to ditch the uniform and wear more skirts and dresses.

Wearing my collection of pyramid studs after neglecting them for so long. I don’t know about you but every time I sit down to eat, I must de-accessorise or I find it cumbersome to eat with all these bracelets on my arms.

And these shoes! I bought them so long ago but never had the chance to snap photos of them when I wear it out. Of course, they’re not really Rick Owens (though I would really hope to own a pair of them) , I bought them from a store in Far East Plaza which seem to have unfortunately closed down.

Black outfit Breakdown:

  • Top: The Scarlet Room
  • Leggings: Dong Dae Mun, Korea
  • Scarf: Topshop
  • Jacket: H&M
  • Bracelets: m)phosis, Phuket night market, random places I don’t remember
  • Rings: m)phosis and snefter on etsy.com
  • Shoes: Some shop in Far East Plaza that has closed down

Sometimes I wonder if I’m the only person with weird habits. Anyone want to share theirs?

Nov

I know it’s only the start of November but hey, let’s just consider this part one.

Lots of stuff from my recent trip to Seoul and San Francisco. I hate it when I shop with an open mind cause I end up buying random stuff instead of having something specific to look for. Shopping when you’re extremely jetlagged does not help either.

I dropped by Harputs Union when I was in San Francisco. Gus always makes offers I can’t resist, I ended picking up this lightweight nylon Swacket which I can also use when I’m in Singapore. The one I bought previously is made of wool which makes only possible to wear during winter. This one is simply perfect.

Faux leather panelled skirt from Zara. It has pockets. Enough said.

Weird wool hoodie scarf thingama I got from Seoul. It keeps me warm.

Rick Owens lookalike draped jacket from Seoul. It’s faux leather, I doubt it’ll keep me very warm in winter though.

Half leather gloves which I bought from m)phosis. Still boggles my mind why we sell gloves in Singapore.

Shoes from Furmüse is Cineleisure, Singapore. The soles resemble shoes from Camilia Skövgaard, the hidden wedges add height to the wearer, I spotted the exact same shoes when I was in Seoul. Let’s just say I got ripped off in Singapore.

Hope everyone’s had a good year so far! I’m really looking forward to the next.

I love leather. I feel that there’s nothing like leather to keep you warm and protect you from the elements. My favorite Fall item happens to be this All Saints draped collar leather jacket I bought early this Spring.

Here are some of the leather picks to prepare you for Winter this year. :D

From left to right:

  • Aminaka Wilmont Asymmetrical Leather Jacket
  • Alexander Wang Leather Corset belt
  • Dsquared Gloves
  • Topshop Unique Harness

  • Vanessa Bruno Leather Shorts
  • Reece Hudson Bag
  • Rick Owens Jacket

Jun

Taken when I was in Hong Kong sometime in March this year. I know the title isn’t terribly imaginative, but at least I am still keeping with the tradition of naming all the outfit posts after songs on my iTunes!

Black Outfit breakdown:

  • Dress: Mongkok, Hong Kong
  • Jacket: Zara, London
  • Harness: Mongkok, Hong Kong
  • Shoes: Primark

I figured it would be a good time now to blog a little more in-depth about the places we travel to. After all, June is the peak holiday season and so many people are heaving off for a holiday! Unfortunately I will be grounded in Singapore for quite a while.

Generally speaking, shopping in Hong Kong isn’t as cheap as China or Taiwan, and it can get really confusing and disorientating after a while because of the way the malls are laid out. However, Hong Kong is an amazing place to purchase authentic designer duds. Summer sales in Hong Kong really do take a pretty chunk off brands like Louis Vuitton and Givenchy. Furthermore, Hong Kong houses many brands not available in the region. There is a couple of Vivienne Westwood boutiques there, and guerrilla stores houses brands such as Rick Owens, Ann Demeulemeester, Maison Martin Margiela and Acne amongst a few.

That said, should any of you have questions about places we have travelled to, please feel free to email us or head over to our formspring. While we are not a travel blog, we are still able to dish out a tip or two with regards to shopping. We are always eager to share where we get our loots from!
