What’s in my bag: Paper Birkin Bag

Hello voyeurs, it’s time to give you a peek into what is in my bag again~!!

I got myself a new bag recently and I have to say I am undecided if I should be considered cool or not. I’m sure we all remember the photo posted on JAK&JIL with that dude holding a paper bag with a chain and drawn on Chanel logos. It was clever and witty. Well, I found myself a paper Birkin, and I’m thoroughly in love with it.

According to the shop I got it at, it’s made of “paper leather”. I’ve no idea where you can find this material but apparently, it’s perfectly fine to wash it.

I love it when people do a double take when they see the bag, it’s like “omg is that made of paper”?

And now it’s time to give you a peek into my bag.

Why yes it’s a Chouchou~!!

Did I mention Chouchou loves exploring bags? Whenever we leave a large paper/plastic bag around she’d try and play with it and occupy it. But she gets bored after a minute or so.

What’s in my Bag: Switzerland

I was in Zürich 2 weeks ago and decided that I’ll head to Bern again and also to Interlaken. This is what I brought along for that long train ride.

I’ll have to add that I’m not very creative at laying out the stuff in my bag.

I got myself a shiny new pen from Swarovski. The charm is pretty but it’s kind of annoying to have it knock against the pen all the time when I’m writing.

You might have also noticed a new wallet. Dawn is absolutely sick of my dollar notes being crumpled all the time, so i decided it is time for another wallet. This is the Louis Vuitton Adjustable Wallet in Damier Graphite.

Although it’s a men’s series, I love it cause it’s in black and grey.

It’s International NANA day! What’s in my bag on this superbly momentous day you ask??

What’s in my bag:

  1. iPad : Fits perfectly into this bag. Major love!
  2. iPhones: Pural form yes, one SG number, one UK number. I call them Ceiling cat and Basement cat.
  3. Kensington backup battery and USB wire: We can all agree that the iPhone 3GS runs out of juice very very fast.
  4. Louis Vuitton Wallet: Dawn hates my wallet cos my notes are always folded.
  5. Moleskine Monthly notebook: That’s where most of the magic on monoxious.com is recorded and scheduled.
  6. Pen: from Muji
  7. Mini colour pencils from Marc Jacobs: COLOUR!!
  8. Books: New books I picked up while spending time in my local book store. (I need to grow myself some talent. *gloom*)
  9. Headphones: Stuck the crystals on myself. They’re fold-able and very compact.
  10. Muji Aluminium Namecard case + monoxious namecards
  11. Bag: From Country Road (because I can’t afford a Proenza Schouler PS-1)

What's in my bag: All I see is an orange pen.

It’s been long since I had a “what’s in my bag” post. Owing to the fact that my bags aren’t all that exciting. I’ve been looking for a decent bag for a long time. The Proenza Schouler PS1 is high on my list, unfortunately that bag and my purse strings can’t get along and I settled for a decent lookalike from Country Road instead.

I wish it was bigger so it can contain my Macbook. Goes to show that I can’t have everything in life.  Enough of the bag.

Up till this point while staring at the picture, I think you would only notice that orange Tide pen. Since everything else is black, it makes it a pain to look for stuff in that black abyss of things. Why there is a Tide pen is an even bigger mystery since most of my clothes are black and I don’t need to remove stains from them immediately anyway.

Anyway, here’s the stuff that’s in there:
