I’ve been buying a lot of them recently and it’s a good call since the sun in Singapore seems to be getting really strong (not to mention the humidity).

 

They’re all knockoffs of expensive luxury eyewear it seem, but I love them so, especially the Maison Martin Margiela one. I would exchange my firstborn for an actual Chanel S5018, they’re sold out everywhere but I’m not willing to pay hundreds for an eBay listed one when it’s obviously not authentic although they claimed otherwise.

I like Taylor Momsen, despite what everyone says about her eyeliners and garters and I like GossipGirl. THERE I’VE SAID IT~!!! Don’t judge me!

Some say her style may be repetitive and boring…even predictable after awhile but hey~!! We wear what suits us most right?

I’m jealous of that long blonde hair and copious amount of eyeliner she can pull off. I’d just look like some wailing bride who’s been left standing at the altar.

And it’s pretty obvious she enjoys wearing black but that’s not why we like her so much. *shifty eyes* (okay maybe that’s ONE of the factors.)

I love that she pays attention to her accessories too.

This is almost too much of a good thing.


First up is this stunner of a shoe by Nicholas Kirkwood, for the March Hare. I am absolutely loving the checkered heels and the pocket watch. The minature teapots and cups hanging on the chain are just darling.

I agree with Charles Anastase that the Walt Disney interpretation of the dress is simply too boring. She is supposed to be in Wonderland for chrissake. This deconstructed asymmetrical gown manages to convey the madness of the world that Alice is in, but at the same time preserves a distinct elegance. I love the draping on the dress, and even the dusky blue in all my colour prejudices.

Chloe delivers a clean and feminine design in contrast to Anastase’s deconstructed dress. I think that while it is a pretty, wearable dress, Chloe might have played it a tad too safe with this design when they are given a valid reason to just go crazy on it.

I am usually a huge fan of Haider Ackerman, but I am a little on the fence with this dress. I love the top, but the bottom part of the dress and the fabric choice leaves much to be desired. Here’s to hoping it looks better worn, than resembling a romper out of the 80′s on the mannequin.

Maison Martin Margiela: Synonymous with romance and glamour. And I am not disappointed with their delivery of this dress. I love how they deconstructed the dress and assembled it upside down, placing the boning on the sleeves.

I am not sure who Ann Demeulemeester is trying to portray here, but I suspect the March Hare from the vest and the monochromatic scheme. I don’t think much needs to be said for this piece, the cutouts at the hem are nothing less than ingenious, and the drape of the top is simply to die for.

And living on a healthy dosage of game/anime soundtrack, this is what it decided to bestow upon me.

I remember it was a particularly uninspiring day, with Dawn and I hanging at the rooftop like a bunch of hobos where I took one of my favorite pictures, Darkness of the Unknown. Unfortunately for us, the sky wasn’t nearly as dramatic and we just seemed to be overall out of brainjuice.

The first pic was an accidental shot by the way. Dawn was just snapping away while i moved around and it looked like something we could use. I’m upset to say that I didn’t manage to return the favor by getting any good photos of her on that day. :<

I had this skirt from Schwing Schwing (a local blogshop) for the longest time and it was modeled after the Maison Martin Margiela skirt made famous by Geraldine Saglio where she was shot and featured on JAK&JILL.

It was a tad painful to wear cause the zipper teeth would bite into my ass and thighs when I sit down. That, or my problem is the fat ass. :< But it’s still one of my favorite skirts to wear cause it looks good plus it’s really versatile. *sigh* The things we do in the name of fashion.
