Dawn and I took a self-proclaimed holiday from blogging to reflect a little bit on the direction we’re heading.

It seems that in the blogosphere, traffic means more than anything, sure enough having more readers does mean that more people appreciate your work and writings but in the midst of trying to generate posts more frequently, we kinda lost ourselves and it felt as though we were compromising the quality of our blog posts.

This little break also made us realise that we really just love shooting pictures and trying to show people how black outfits can be interesting.

This outfit post is from one of those little outings we had in Haji Lane, as you can see, we do really enjoy this gritty little lane.

Overworn shoes and bag. Which reminded me that I have yet to showcase these awesome shoes that I bought just the other day. I can’t wait!

Oh yeah, over worn harness too. Does anyone have the problem of wanting to wear the same item over and over cause you like it so much?

I’d have to say, it’s not everyday that you try to check the weather so that you can dress appropriately in Singapore cause it usually fluctuates between 30-32°C anyway. So there we were, caught off guard about what to wear for the day that we would describe as “cold” in Singapore. This is how difficult it can be to master the art of streetstyle in Singapore.

So Dawn and I chose to be seated outdoors while having dinner and this draft bothered us so much that we decided to check the temperature. It was freezing 25°C, don’t get us wrong, we’ve both been through sub-zero temperatures before but something below 30°C is not within our calculations in Singapore.

Wearing a mish-mash of my favorite accessories. If you’re wondering why I haven’t gotten the iPhone 4 yet, it’s cause the white one isn’t released in Singapore yet. /sadface

Just lopped off more than 5 inches of hair off yesterday. It isn’t terribly drastic but well, I am kinda missing the length.

Tis was a hot day, oh don’t ask why I was in a mock turtleneck.

And these are seriously the best pair of shoes I own. I would wear them to its death, and in the event that happens, I have an exact same pair to replace them, which will be worn to its death too. Don’t question why I own 2 pairs of the same shoes.

Here’s a bonus pic of the DIY Chain Harness that we made~!! We spent a good amount of effort and time making it and we would really appreciate that the entire tutorial isn’t copied and pasted on your blog even if you linked back cause no one’s gonna come to our blog if the information is duplicate. It is as good as stealing. Thank you.

I know it’s getting kinda old to be taking photos at this same spot again. ;A;

I’m totally pimping my iPhone case and matching headphones which I spent HOURS sticking on Swarovski crystals. I get alot of compliments when I whip out my iPhone and most people just stare at it, amazed at how shiny it is. I call it a magpie syndrome.

I was very inspired by Taylor Momsen in her “Make me wanna die” video. I had my eyeliner and eyeshadow on very generously that day. And of course, garters and thigh-highs seem to be a staple in her look as well.

I’m really loving the body chain I got from H&M (I bought it recently, it should still be available but I found it to be a little too long and I had the length altered a little).

Shoe shopping has been ridiculous. I think I clocked up 4 pairs of shoes in the last 2 weeks, with 3 of them bought in the same week. :<

I am pleased with this collection although may will agree that it is never enough. Narrowing it down to just one colour helps actually. Of course leeways will be given for awesome shoes like the YSL cage heels sticking out in that sea of black. It’s pretty impossible to see what’s what in there so I’m going to lay it out for you.

I don’t know how I can put in those thigh high boots which I bought from Zara into this picture either. So yes, my capsule shoes collection. I think everyone should have a shoe post now. I wanna see your collection~!!
