What’s in my bag: Travelling Light

I’m all about trying to travel light lately. The downsize of most of my gadgets seems like a good proof of that. First a Macbook Pro to a MacBook Air, then a Canon 5Dmkii to a Fujifilm X100.

Everything here fits into my bottomless clutch. I really love that it looks like 2 bags attached together so i can compartmentalize my stuff. It also prevents my MacBook Air from being scratched by the other stuff moving around the bag.

What’s in my bag: A day of blogging

This is my bag in battle mode. Well, actually it’s what I’d usually bring out if I decide to do some blogging outside (cause there are too many distractions at home).

  • Bag: Project shop Heavy duty canvas so I can carry really heavy stuff in there without worrying that the bag may give way.
  • Wacom Tablet Intuos 4 For DI-ing
  • Multi-card reader Pretty self-explanatory
  • Charger for MBP I spend hours sitting at Starbucks, the MBP battery wouldn’t last me an entire day.
  • Louis Vuitton Wallet For my moolah and cards
  • Kensington iPhone backup battery You can say that I use my iPhone pretty often.
  • Totes Umbrella For Singapore’s crazy unpredictable weather
  • Swarovski Pen To scribble stuff down
  • Travel toothbrush and toothpaste yannow, for the gunk that sticks to your teeth after you eat?
  • Muji Foldable bag In case I buy stuff
  • Random Moleskin postcard
  • M)phosis Bag Organizer I am unfortunately a very disorganized person.
  • Headphones
  • Moleskine Notebook To note down ideas and schedule.
  • 13″ Apple Macbook Pro Where 80% of my life is.

It’s International NANA day! What’s in my bag on this superbly momentous day you ask??

What’s in my bag:

  1. iPad : Fits perfectly into this bag. Major love!
  2. iPhones: Pural form yes, one SG number, one UK number. I call them Ceiling cat and Basement cat.
  3. Kensington backup battery and USB wire: We can all agree that the iPhone 3GS runs out of juice very very fast.
  4. Louis Vuitton Wallet: Dawn hates my wallet cos my notes are always folded.
  5. Moleskine Monthly notebook: That’s where most of the magic on monoxious.com is recorded and scheduled.
  6. Pen: from Muji
  7. Mini colour pencils from Marc Jacobs: COLOUR!!
  8. Books: New books I picked up while spending time in my local book store. (I need to grow myself some talent. *gloom*)
  9. Headphones: Stuck the crystals on myself. They’re fold-able and very compact.
  10. Muji Aluminium Namecard case + monoxious namecards
  11. Bag: From Country Road (because I can’t afford a Proenza Schouler PS-1)

What's in my bag: All I see is an orange pen.

It’s been long since I had a “what’s in my bag” post. Owing to the fact that my bags aren’t all that exciting. I’ve been looking for a decent bag for a long time. The Proenza Schouler PS1 is high on my list, unfortunately that bag and my purse strings can’t get along and I settled for a decent lookalike from Country Road instead.

I wish it was bigger so it can contain my Macbook. Goes to show that I can’t have everything in life.  Enough of the bag.

Up till this point while staring at the picture, I think you would only notice that orange Tide pen. Since everything else is black, it makes it a pain to look for stuff in that black abyss of things. Why there is a Tide pen is an even bigger mystery since most of my clothes are black and I don’t need to remove stains from them immediately anyway.

Anyway, here’s the stuff that’s in there:
