An outfit post featuring a few of the items I’ve been wearing the most often recently. A sleeveless asymmetrical top, a biker jacket I’ve dug out from the dark recesses of my closet, and a zipped skirt I bought on sale. (By the way, it’s still sale season in Singapore!)

I love the top so much – it is made of a very thin material, but it isn’t the least bit sheer. I can wear it alone without layering a camisole underneath.

Leopard print pony hair clutch from the previous post. Deceptively bigger than it looks.

The sunlight was so lovely that day.. Wish we could have light like this more often so I’ll actually be motivated to take some more pictures.

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Top: m)phosis
  • Jacket: Topshop
  • Skirt: Topshop
  • Shoes: Aldo
  • Clutch: China

I’ve been meaning to do this for a while now..using one basic item in several different coordinates. Wardrobe basics to me are items I can wear with almost everything, whether I dress up or down. Two of my fashion essentials this summer is a tight jersey skirt and a camisole, so I thought I’d feature them in four different outfits!

Jersey mini skirt and camisole are both from H&M

✖ Topshop Blouse | ✖ Forever 21 Booties | ✖ H&M socks

This is an outfit I’d wear out for a casual meal with friends, or on a date. The diaphanous blouse is perfect for the hot weather we’ve been experiencing. Pair it with a simple clutch and you are good to go.

✖ Femme X sweater | ✖ Forever 21 Rosary | ✖ Forever 21 mary janes

You can roll the socks down for a more toned-down look. But toned-down isn’t really my thing, so… Anyway, this is something I’d wear to parties (the kind with alcohol, not the kind with cakes and parents present.) I’ve neglected to take pictures of bags, but this would go with my knuckle duster clutch bag.

✖ m)phosis cardigan | ✖ Forever 21 bustier | ✖ m)phosis mesh leggings |
✖ Shoes from Far East Plaza

I’ve had this bustier for a while now, but I never really found an occasion to wear it often. I think it goes pretty well with the skirt, though! Pair it with mesh leggings although you could leave your legs bare as well. I think I will probably wear it sans leggings to get inebriated.

✖ Shirt from H&M | ✖ Leggings from Bangkok | ✖ Heels from Malaysia

A slightly more casual outfit. Probably great for shopping or for running errands! You can ditch the leggings for a sexier look as well.

I hope this post is interesting. If you have any wardrobe basics you’d like to see us feature in a similar post, please do not hesitate to tell us?

I like to call this outfit “business at the front, party at the back”. I love it when outfits have an extra element that takes everyone by surprise!

I love this Topshop tuxedo blazer I purchased from the flagship store at Knightsbridge. I want to buy so many more blazers in charcoal and nude (and black of course). They are so versatile -  you can dress them up or down easily.

My bag was stuffed to its bursting point with my dinosaur of a laptop.

I like to wear this harness over plain jackets or coats to spice them up! It gets sort of boring during winter when everyone wears the same few coats. I had the misfortune of bumping into people on the streets wearing the same coat more than once.

Outfit Breakdown:

  • Blazer: Topshop
  • Harness: AudraJean on Etsy
  • Dress: Cotton On
  • Bag: Charles & Keith
  • Shoes: H&M Divided exclusive

I made my very first maxi skirt purchase recently – no big deal, considering I am only around 2 years late to the bandwagon. I was under the impression that maxi dresses and skirts are reserved for the tallest and skinniest of people, and it won’t suit people like me who are stouter in the midsection. I’m still not too sold on it, but I might just have to play around to find the right coordinate for me.

I can definitely see myself wearing more maxi length items when fall rolls around, though!

Outfit Breakdown:

  • Cardigan: Cotton On
  • Camisole: H&M
  • Maxi skirt: The Scarlet Room
  • Belt: m)phosis
  • Necklace: Forever 21
  • Shoes: China

I ordered these shoes on a Chinese auction site because they remind me of the Topshop Wisteria wedges which I shall regret forever for not buying.

Sorry for the lack of full body shots. I am especially terrible at them for some reason.

I am very much addicted to GongCha.

Polka dotted skirt from m)phosis. It isn’t easy to find skirts that fits me without being too short or flared. Ribbon tights from Miss Selfridge.

This always end up happening after a few wears ):

Arissa’s awesome nails, featuring the Black Shatter top coat from OPI.

..which oddly matches her phone
