This brutal weather is seriously sapping every last ounce of energy away from me. If there is one thing I don’t like about Singapore, it is that we deal in absolutes like Siths. It is either ridiculously hot outside, or below freezing indoors. There never seem to be a comfortable zone in-between. I just want to wear the same outfit both outdoors and in movie theatres without experiencing such extreme fluctuations!

(Going off on a tangent, my mum commented that this jacket reminded her of what people wore in the 80′s. Seems like we are really experiencing a retro blast this summer!)

Scored these earrings from Emoda during the summer sales in Japan. The oversized tassels really aid in making your face appear smaller! Something I desperately need.

Elizabeth & James wedges c/o Shopbop. They are every inch as comfortable as they look – and I was really impressed by how fast these shoes came in the mail! I will be talking more about them on a later date.

Outfit:

  • Floral Jacket: Zara
  • Top: Zara
  • Skirt: m)phosis
  • Wedges: Elizabeth & James
  • Earrings: Emoda

Sorry for the lack of updates recently! Although I got back to Singapore a while ago, it has been a flurry of activities with me leaving for Japan shortly afterwards. And Diablo III possibly has something to do with the lack of productivity as well. Anyway, here are a few pictures Arissa took of me when we went for tea at Full House Cafe in Rendezvous Hotel!

I’ve allowed my hair to grow out whilst in London – I would have loved to keep it at this length, but unfortunately it became too dry and brittle and I had to trim off a good 4″ of it. :( This is why we can’t have nice things.

I’ve found that my solution to keeping cool this summer is sleeveless chiffon tops. Along with copious amounts of air conditioning.

Outfit Breakdown:

  • Top: Miss Selfridge
  • Skirt: All Saints
  • Socks: H&M
  • Platform wedges: Topshop ‘Lenny’
  • Bag: Mulberry

Visiting Italy was a true test of my ability to dress for summer. In Singapore it’s humid and hot but you hardly feel the heat of a thousand burning suns on your skin as much as in Italy. It was vital that I was wearing something that covers my skin but doesn’t stick to it. I was lucky to have packed a loose cardigan along for the trip.

Remember to keep those questions coming on Formspring and follow Dawn (@propatriamori)  and I (@minicloud) on Instagram!!

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Camisole: H&M
  • Skirt: H&M
  • Cardigan: Dongdaemun, Korea
  • Belt: m)phosis

I’m back from Italy!! Between procrastination and jet-lag, it seems like I have raked up quite a bit of backlog here.

For those who don’t have us on Twitter, I was in Italy for about 10days. Our first stop was Rome and we headed down to Vatican city to visit the Vatican Museum and St. Peter Basilica.

I’ve been wearing the Helmut Lang asymmetrical bra top to death lately, it’s a perfect layering piece to protect my modesty when wearing tops that are cut too low.

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Maxi Dress: Shopbop
  • Asymmetrical Bra top: Helmut Lang
  • Necklace: Studio Alta, Shinjuku

Ashamed to admit that we have abandoned the blog once again in favour of a bit of travelling! I came back from Paris last week, but things have been hectic as I rush to pack for home. I have almost forgotten how to dress for Summer already (this season is non-existant in the UK).

Here’s a couple of pictures taken whilst I was in Paris – didn’t get too shutter-happy this trip as I was more preoccupied with food and company!

Outfit breakdown:

  • Jacket: Zara
  • Top: ASOS
  • Skirt: Weekday
  • Scarf: Hermès
  • Shoes: Alexander McQueen
  • Bag: Balenciaga
