It seems like the angry winter has come and gone. For a moment, the cold was a little hard to bear but it seems that it got even colder in London after I left that week. I’m pretty glad I didn’t get caught in the big freeze.

These pictures were taken outside the Natural History Museum with Dawn. It’s probably going to be a long long time before I get to go to London again. This coordinate is part of the White shirt series as many have requested for a there to be one after the first post.

I liked the idea of pairing up a shirt with a nice shift dress for a preppy look. The cutout details on the dress is my favorite in the entire outfit. These Esperanza boots have been with me for at least 3 years now and they’re still one of my most comfortable boots to wear.

Black Outfit Ideas:

  • Shirt: Uniqlo
  • Shift dress: H&M
  • Tights: Uniqlo Heattech
  • Blazer: Zara
  • Boots: Esperanza
  • Bag: Alexander Wang Kristen bag replica from Taobao
  • Beret: H&M
  • Gloves: Lanvin

I wasn’t actually planning on taking outfit pictures that day, but I chanced into a classmate and I had my camera with me, so I thought why not? (Yes, I sometimes happen to carry a bulky DSLR with me…) This outfit is slightly boring, but it is an accurate picture as to what I wear on a day to day basis. It’s hard to get creative when you are just going to throw a coat over everything, anyway.

This trusty coat was a gift from my mum, and it was been with me for 2 winters already! Got to love basics that never goes out of vogue.

  • Fur scarf: taobao
  • Coat: Mango
  • Bag: Charles & Keith
  • Boots: Dolce & Gabbana
  • Socks / Tights: ASOS

I’ve already started to shop for spring. Can’t wait for the weather to get warmer so I can wear my spring items out!

Harsh winter days are spent burrowing myself in the sheets with the laptop to keep the tummy warm. There was also a revelation that radiators are good surfaces for taking photos as illustrated by the Gareth Pugh x MAC post.

Besides makeup, I ended up taking photos of the shoes I brought along for the trip and some photos of bags, jackets and accessories.

Seems like the shoes were arranged in order of comfort. I kid, the dsquared reps are actually more comfortable than the Theyskens Theory reps.

My buttery soft lambskin bag is one of the lightest bags I own, it’s useful cause I tend to bring too much stuff out and despite that, it won’t give me much of a shoulder ache. I’ve had bags that are heavy on its own and I tend not to bring them out too often.

A clear favorite, my Datya leather jacket from All Saints. Kept me warm for a few winters now.

This H&M jacket is also one of my favorite to wear. It’s so smart-looking and I’m glad I got Dawn to buy it for me in London.

Pretty glad it was a productive day despite choosing to stay in.

The girls of Pixiekrane are over in London for a trip, and I took the opportunity to shamelessly invite myself to hang out with them one afternoon. If you are reading this: Thanks for putting up with me, and for the lovely pictures!

We met up in Holborn for lunch. I really like the area for some reason – you can easily head from there to soho for food, or to St. Paul’s for shopping. I much prefer this to the crush that is Oxford street 90% of the time.

The weather’s really starting to bite as we slowly edge out of autumn and into winter… Arissa gave me this cape when we met up in Paris, and I can’t stop wearing it! <3 It’s definitely not warm enough on its own, but it’s perfect when thrown over a leather jacket. Speaking of which, I’ve taken to abusing layering my clothes – I remember distinctly how my friend compared me to a cabbage when I was taking off my coat(s) indoors.

I like how unapologetically clunky these boots look. They are also really wide at the base, and remind me of hooves sometimes. Ultimate man-repeller boots.

Outfit breakdown:

  • Cape: m)phosis
  • Leather jacket (worn inside): All Saints
  • Cardigan (worn inside): All Saints
  • Skirt: m)phosis
  • Boots: Ann Demeulemeester
  • Accessories: Alexander McQueen

P.S. I will briefly be home in Singapore around mid December! I can’t wait to inhale all the food I’ve been craving since moving here. Chicken rice and nasi lemak! And 24hr McDelivery!

This is going to be a rather image intensive post, so apologies in advance if I slowed down your browser or something. I went really trigger happy on my trip to Paris with Arissa, and here are some of the places we visited!

We went to Restaurant Chartier on a friend’s recommendation, and I do believe this is by far one of the best meals I’ve ever had. If you are heading to Paris, I strongly recommend this to you as well. It combines three things that I love – amazing food, great value and an easy ambience.

7 RUE DU FAUBOURG MONTMARTRE 75009 PARIS

While walking to the tuileries, we saw a busker playing with bubbles. We must have been suffering from severe childhood regression or something, for we stayed there and watched for close to a quarter of an hour. I swear that seeing children all swaddled up in their winter coats induces a raging maternal instinct in me I never knew I had. I know, I’m creepy. Sorry.

Pont des Arts – secure a padlock here to tie yourself to your loved one forever. There’s something awfully cliché and romantic about it at the same time. I’m probably just bitter at all the happy couples.
