There’s nothing special about the weather in Singapore. It’s just hot and humid. This particular day was no escape from the dreary heat. We had to photoshop sweat beads from our face (true story).

Bad idea wearing a jacket here, but I just wanted to wear my new harness out. I suppose it’s relevant (?) to the location since we’re near a Saddle Club (actually no it’s kinda irrelevant). Too bad horses don’t run free here or I’d taken photos of some. I guess they’re all chillin in the stables, away from the heat.

I love my skirt, but sometimes I think it is not worth the trouble buying from The Scarlet room. They’ve too many orders on their hand and their back orders take forever to fulfill. They’re not very prompt with my tracking numbers either. Moreover, they emailed the wrong tracking number which caused plenty of confusion.

Also, my lot of Etsy purchases have came in!

Black outfit breakdown:

  • Jacket: some online store I don’t remember
  • Camisole: H&M
  • Skirt: The Scarlet Room
  • Harness: AudraJean on Etsy.com
  • Socks: Comme des Garçons
  • Shoes: Esperanza
  • Rings: snefter from Etsy.com

Okay, it’s not a shoe. But it’s the awesome BuckyBalls!!! It’s rare earth magnets that promises hours of entertainment.

A pair of awesome wedges I bought from Esperanza in Tokyo. I was shopping in Shinjuku during Valentine’s Day and I thought I should buy myself something. The architectural lines that makes up the heel makes this pair of wedges my favorite one right now. Plus points for being comfortable too.

I would link to their online site but they still don’t have these shoes. I’ll link an Acne knock-off then.

Hannah Loafers from Alexander Wang which I have been eye-ing for the longest time. Imagine my joy when it was on sale on the Opening Ceremony. Not the most comfortable shoes though. I think the pain level is comparable to my Acne Atacomas.

Hairband and studded belt from m)phosis. I swear m)phosis is great for buying accessories during their sale. The belt costs me like 10bucks and the hairband was $3.20?

I don’t know if I’ve confessed this but I hate winter, okay anywhere below 10°C. I like my layering but if it means I have to don many layers of thermal and have my speech impaired due to the cold, then no thanks.

That being said, I still think the snow makes everything beautiful and charming though I would much prefer to admire it from my computer screen. Winter and I don’t mix very well.

The sun seems so hard to come by but what little of it we had made everything seem golden.

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Leather Jacket: All Saints
  • Circle Scarf: m)phosis
  • Pants with Pleather inserts: NastyGal.com
  • Boots: Esperanza
  • Gloves (hanging from the glove clip on my bag): Lanvin
  • Beret: I don’t remember omg.

I am a CLONE~!!!! *ashamed*

It is I who have succumbed to the temptation of white cotton maxi dresses after being bombarded with pictures of a street full of Japanese wearing them. I am indeed talking about the Summer Trends we’ve previously blogged about.

I bought this dress while shopping with Dawn in Bugis Village, one of the local haunts for really cheap clothes. There is this little shop called Cherie, which sells clothes reminding us of this Japanese brand called Liz Lisa. They are responsible for a lot of the Gyaru trends you see in Japan.

And here you see the Louis Vuitton Neverfull bag which hasn’t seen the light of the day for at least a year. It looks like the perfect summer bag to pair with this dress. Have I mentioned that the dress is so light and airy which makes it perfect for Singapore’s perpetually hot and humid climate?

And god knows how long I’ve wanted a white maxi dress after seeing Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo & Juliet. Claire Danes looks absolutely angelic in that white Dolce & Gabbana dress during the masquerade. I simply love designer collaborations in movies. I really loved Jean-Paul Gaultier’s work for 5th Element as well.

Outfit Breakdown:

  • White Maxi Dress: Cherie (Bugis Village)
  • Shoes: Esperanza
  • Bag: Louis Vuitton

Any particular character in a movie that you would love to dress up as? I really love the outfits in Marie Antoinette too but they’re so impractical for daily wear. :(

Shoe shopping has been ridiculous. I think I clocked up 4 pairs of shoes in the last 2 weeks, with 3 of them bought in the same week. :<

I am pleased with this collection although may will agree that it is never enough. Narrowing it down to just one colour helps actually. Of course leeways will be given for awesome shoes like the YSL cage heels sticking out in that sea of black. It’s pretty impossible to see what’s what in there so I’m going to lay it out for you.

From bottom left to right:

  • Aldo wedges
  • Alexander Mcqueen Motorcycle jacket booties
  • Yves St Laurent Cage Heels
  • Stella McCartney mesh heel lookalike from Siren

middle Row

  • Jeffrey Campbell Madness boots (they are SO comfortable to wear)
  • Balmain lookalike from Anne Michelle
  • Aldo wedges (insane height)
  • Acne Atacoma booties

Top row

  • Random laced up boots.
  • Guess Maeve boots lookalike from Miss Selfridge
  • Ann Demeulemeester lookalikes from Jeffrey Campbell
  • Boots from Esperanza

Unfortunately (much to my mum’s dismay), these aren’t all of it. I just can’t seem to lug all those shoes out to take photos of them so this is like a capsule collection of my favorites. I don’t know how I can put in those thigh high boots which I bought from Zara into this picture either. So yes, my capsule shoes collection. I think everyone should have a shoe post now. I wanna see your collection~!!
