In case this post isn’t obvious enough, I am absolutely obsessed with cropped tops and you know how things go down with Dawn and I; once we are obsessed with something, we end up buying multiples of it.

That is the story of how I ended up with two more cropped tops from ASOS.

The UNIF Garter Skirt had been lying in my closet for quite some time and I wasn’t able to find a nice cropped top to go with it but now that summer is approaching, there are more cropped tops available online! I love the corset details and the fan-shaped lacing reminds me so much of medical corsets. It’s a little hard to sit down cause there are some bonings in the front which gets in the way.

I am also sporting TEAL HAIR now! I never really thought teal was my colour but the green undertones from my last hair colour will give it a turquoise colour when the teal fades out!

In case why anyone is wondering WHY my hair isn’t frizzy and fried after all that colouring and bleaching, it’s all thanks to Hairloom’s O3 treatment ($95 for all hair-length!!!!). Prior to the treatment, my hair was tangled even at my length and it was hard to dry my hair properly for fear of breakage. The treatment really saved it and the effects are pretty long-lasting as well. They are giving away a free O3 hair treatment when you colour your hair with them from now until 30 June 2013!

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Skirt: UNIF Garter Skirt (sadly, out of stock everywhere now)
  • Cropped top with strappy cut out neck: ASOS
  • Shoes: Acne Atacoma
  • Hair by Hairloom

Howdy everyone! It’s been too long. I even missed out on WordPress v3.5 which allows me to insert all my uploaded photos at once. How backwards am I?

It’s only been 22 days into the New Year before I updated. I hope everyone forgives me. It’s been the norm that the New Year often spells new beginnings, changes and resolutions. Although I am thankful for my metabolism, there has been a decrease these days probably due to a change in job or simply age taking its toll on me (le sigh~) which prompted me to sign up at a local gym in hopes of being healthier. I have thus been transformed into a gym rat. *thunder roars*

Other than that, life has been pretty predictable and routine lately. So what has everyone else been up to?

After all the weird colours of the rainbow on my head, I’ve finally settled back for black hair to  let it fallow and also cause I can’t afford to dye my hair every 3 weeks.

Haji Lane is one of my favorite spots in Singapore. Its myriad of interesting indie stores devoid of conglomerate street labels,  would definitely appeal to someone who is always looking out for unique pieces to add to their wardrobe.

I’m wearing a skirt that came in my recent Peeka order. It’s funny cause there are two slits and the panel in the middle goes in between my legs when I walk against the wind. I call it my diaper skirt.

Also featured are my gorgeous Maison Martin Margiela boots c/o of Shopbop. I enjoyed the feeling of the soft calf leather on the inside of the shoe so much that I was walking around the house in them.

Black outfit breakdown:

  • Collar necklace: H&M
  • Silver cuffs: Forever 21

I would also like to take this opportunity to thank everyone that took the trouble to attend our first flea collaboration with a few other Singaporean fashion bloggers like:

A second flea is definitely in the works some time before Christmas! We hope that everyone who attended enjoyed themselves and managed to bag items that they love. I am really grateful for the support despite the short notice! Thank you all SO SO much. I’ll blog a proper post about the flea market soon!

For people who are unaware, Lady Gaga was in town last week for a concert which also explains the lime green tag that around my wrist. The queue was quite insane and I don’t think I could be as committed as the boy who got the monster key (first person at the mosh pit line gets the key y’all). I got a self-congratulatory number 85 and it’s shameful considering how I would consider myself “too old for this”. Famous last words anyone?

My shoes also decided to give up on me that faithful day. En route to the concert hall, I broke one of my left heel. I lost it when DJ Zedd was spinning pre-concert, my group was the only one cheering at the Legend of Zelda theme and I promptly broke the other heel. The rest of the concert was spent exercising my calves and being really grateful that my boyfriend is there to provide emotional and actual support.

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Dress: The Scarlet Room
  • Faux leather shorts: m)phosis
  • Stockings: some stocking shop in Harajuku
  • Mirrored skeleton bracelets: Evol Heist
  • Shoes: Taobao
  • Leather thorn headband: DIY

The weather is finally taking a turn for a warmer! Perhaps this is what prompted my scarf spree last weekend…or perhaps it’s just my rampant consumerism.

Silk scarves are really perfect for this weather right now. They keep the wind out without stifling you. I’m constantly looking for different ways to wear them.

This scarf (fleurs d’hiver) in particular is my favourite. The tiny animals adorning the border are just too adorable!

Clockwise from top: fleurs d’hiver, les clefs, selles a housse from Hermès.
