Sorry for the lack of posts this week. December is truly a hectic, hectic month and this is only the beginning!

My “librarian” look. It’s somewhat matronly, but this was one of the days where I just want to swath up in voluminous fabrics and drink tea all day while reading a novel.

I think I attracted more looks in this outfit than anything else I have worn, and I have worn quite a number of bizarre things.

Living in an urban city really doesn’t afford much inspiring shots. Or maybe we just need to try harder.

I love this dress I bought in Hong Kong early this year. Unfortunately it’s a little loose on the top for me. I never try on clothes in stores (I have an odd aversion to doing so, unless I am really unsure) so ill fitting clothes happen too often to me. I really miss shopping in Hong Kong! Shopping there is really about the small independent shops that caters to very specific styles. One thing I hate about shopping in Singapore is that while you do get a lot of small shops here as well, their styles are all over the place. I just don’t see a direction in most of the shops here.

The stockings are from Forever 21! I fulfil all my stockings needs there. They are of decent quality, stock a wide variety and is most importantly, cheap. I haven’t been wearing stockings for a while now because of how swampy the weather has been.

Outfit Breakdown:

  • Jacket: H&M
  • Dress: Hong Kong
  • Tights: Forever 21
  • Shoes: Siren

I have been looking for long skirts for a while now and I finally found one that I like. I think this particular length is known as “tea-length” skirts?

Paired with a Topshop dress/slip. I can only wear it as a top because the bottom is so sheer that it leaves nothing to the imagination. I am really stumped as to how to coordinate it otherwise.

The rows of vertical pintucks on the bustier of this dress reminds me somewhat of vintage nightgowns.

Without the jacket. I have not figured out how to wear the jacket yet. The lapels are asymmetrical and draped and I do believe that there is more than one way to wear it.

I think paired with a pair of warm stockings, this skirt will make a warm Fall coordinate.

Outfit Breakdown:

  • Jacket: Zara, London
  • Dress (worn as top): Topshop
  • Skirt: FemmeX
  • Shoes: Sonia Rykiel for H&M

This is my “Default” outfit. I am sure most of my friends have seen me in some variation of this outfit. I did not realized my belt has became undone while taking the pics, so ignore that please!

I don’t like to wear accessories in my day-to-day outfits. I am either too forgetful and leave the house without any, or simply can’t be bothered as they get in the way. Sunglasses are an exception. I like to wear them to preserve whatever mystique I may or may not have. I’m wearing Prada Postcards sunglasses in “London“, which has smoked frames and orange tinted lenses. I am digging the deviation from my usual full black frames, which makes me look like an insect at times. It adds a much needed “pop of colour” as much as I hate that term.

With my Alexander Mcqueen inspired clutch.

I love this shirt from H&M. It was somewhat of an impulse buy, but I wear it with everything now. I’m wearing almost head to toe H&M, I love H&M so much it’s ridiculous.

And yes, I’m still using randomized songs from my iTunes to name my outfit posts. I can has no creativity at all.

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Sheer Blouse: H&M
  • Camisole (worn inside): H&M
  • Wrap Belt: H&M
  • Skirt: H&M
  • Shoes: Aldo
  • Sunglasses: Prada

I call this my sailor dress. I know there are no nautical themes on it but it just reminds me of a sailor’s outfit somehow! Pairing it with my boater hat makes the perfect picnic outfit!

This is how I usually do my hair as of late. French braids on the side and the rest of the hair in a low bun. Fuss free and takes about 5 mins.

I know I’m usually in black outfits…but black works equally well as an accent too. I’m venturing into neutrals but I doubt I’ll be wearing neon anytime soon.

Forever 21 Mary Janes. Looks perfect in pictures but so very difficult to walk in. The incline is so high I feel about to tip forward whenever I walk in them!

Speaking of sailor dresses…I wish I could get my hands on the one Blair wore in Gossip Girl!!

  • Boater hat: Far East Plaza
  • Corsage: Claire’s
  • Dress: Far East Plaza
  • Camisole (worn inside): H&M
  • Shoes: Forever 21
