Dawn Poh

I’ve never been known to eat like a lady.

I’ve resorted to dressing down in tank tops and shorts because the weather has been really hot that few days. I really can’t be bothered with layering anymore – all I want is to cool off!

And yes I’ve succumbed to the boater hat trend! I wished it looked as cute on me as they do on the Japanese girls I’ve blogged about here – How do they make it stay on anyway? Mine had the tendency to take flight at the slightest hint of a breeze.

That is indeed a band-aid you see on my ankles. The shoes were somehow rubbing against me the wrong way!

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Hat: Far East Plaza
  • Camisole (worn under tank top): Cotton On
  • Tank top: H&M
  • Shirt: Primark
  • Shorts: Hong Kong
  • Shoes: Forever 21

Hey dawn, I m really loving this look of yours. Casual yet so sophisticated..

Anyway with regards to the boater straw hats, as far as i know, the girls sew on little strap slots for clips to go through and into – and then subsequently clip them to their hairs by the side.. hth! :)

HIjacking this comment. Re: the straps sewn onto the side, that’s like a brilliant idea!

OMG I FEEL THE SAME WAY! I tried to buy a boater hat when I was in Japan but I figured my child sized head was the reason they wouldn’t fit/stay on so I never bought one =( I think you’re rocking it better than the Japanese girls though <3
