It’s been so long since I’ve posted an outfit post. I’m so sorry for my absence.
After seeing all the runway pictures these few weeks, I’ve been very inspired by runway looks and after getting my hands on a pair thigh highs that looks suspiciously like the ones from the Chanel Spring/Summer 2010 collection, I’ve decided to put together a runway inspired look from that collection.
We picked out several details from the runway collection. Basically, the look is girly and sweet with a loose updo and flower headpieces. Makeup is light, fresh and at a bare minimum. The shoes and patterned stockings are important highlights of the look.
Added a flowery necklace to make it more girly.
Braided my hair up and added some corsages too.
The stockings are pretty fragile with similar criss-cross patterns, I’m afraid of snagging them though. The clogs are from a Japanese shoe brand called Esperanza.

Black outfit Breakdown:
- Dress: Some shop in Dong Dae Mun, Seoul.
- Corsage: Claire’s
- Necklace: Diva
- Stockings: Leg Avenue bought from Camden, London
- Shoes: Esperanza (here’s the link )
What do you guys think of runway inspired looks? Would you like to see more of it?

Hi Jen, Thanks~!! We’ll keep that in mind. I already have a few ideas I need to put into action.
I am not used to being called soft and romantic but I guess it’s a good thing. hahahha~ thank you again.

I like how you took inspiration from a sweet springtime look and made it dark and mysterious x

Runway inspired looks are win and definitely the “in-thing”. Plus, having “modified” into black outfits!
However, I guess it’d only be great to dress as such during special occasions. Walking around sunny Singapore in a whole lot of black outfits = self-sabotage :/
Anyhoots, I’d like to see more of those! ?

hey Ann, we still wear black despite being in Singapore. I do believe the type of fabric plays a part too. Crazy weather we have lately huh? I find the haze very unbearable. :<

I second that!! Personally, I too, find it hard to grow out of my comfort zone of dressing in colors and I’m very weary of the fabrics of my clothes!
And you couldn’t believe how WOW’ed I was when it rained yesterday! I was like, “LOOK MA! RAIN!”. Totally spastic.

You are guys are great! Clear, distinct point of view & style. Beautiful photography & thoughtful posts.
Unlike another local so called fashion blogging duo that pride itself too much as the premier fashion know it all blog but is a hot mess with no real identity.
Kudos

Thanks Kristy. I have to admit I wasn’t a fan of clogs too. But I guess Karl Lagerfeld just has the ability to make anything covetable.

cute! i love how you took it and made it all black haha

Thanks Mani~!! It wasn’t intentional but I was just trying to replicate this look with whatever I could find in my wardrobe (which is unfortunately mostly black).
