We had lunch at FIKA, a swedish cafe in Haji Lane a couple days ago. I love swedish food (although no doubt real swedes would turn their noses up at what we call swedish food here..) Whatever. I love the meatballs with lingonberry sauce!

I really like the deco too, everything is black and white. But please don’t ask me what I think the horses are doing.

A few seasons late to the military trend. I bought this jacket months ago but I just couldn’t find the right outfit to go with it without looking gaudy or tacky.

Outfit Rundown:

  • Jacket: H&M
  • Top: Cotton On
  • Skirt: H&M
  • Shoes: Bugis
  • Scarf: Diva

I bought the jacket on a whim too! I think they will look great with skinnies, although my legs are no thin enough to pull that look off.

I love military jackets too! Looking at Balmain runway pictures isn’t helping that, haha.

No I didn’t cut my hair, I just tucked the rest of my hair underneath the bob! I really want to chop it all off now, though!

Your hair is exquisite, Dawn. I love how you tucked it all in–it provides such a youthful, edgy counterpoint to the streamlined outfit. I’m curious what your hair color is. Being Asian myself, the brassy red tones in my hair are so hard to bring down and balance out.

    Hello Kim!

Thanks for the compliments! I totally understand you about cancelling out the brassy tones…it took a long time for me to eliminate the orange undertones as well. I would recommend you to go to a salon and have them mix a more ashen shade to cancel out the redness!

Thanks so much for the reply. I did read about ash undertones being the way to go, but it was awesome to hear it firsthand from someone whose hair color I admire. :)

Keep up the great work on the site!
