I really do wish I could do a proper outfit post, but I am born and raised a tropical girl, and the cold here in London needs getting used to. So for now, the coat isn’t getting anywhere away from me.

I must admit, footwear for the cold remains a mystery to me. It’s surprising how the cold can penetrate through the soles of your shoes and socks and right to your feet. Sandals are definitely out of the question here, and I find myself (horror!!) looking past the ugliness that are uggs and actually begin to consider them. But for now, vanity still presides over sense.

Black Outfit Overview:
- Hat: Forever 21
- Corsages: H&M
- Scarf: m)phosis
- Coat: Mango
- Socks: Cotton On
Dear readers, what are your opinion on Uggs and similar boots? Are there any occasions where they are actually acceptable, or do they forever remain fashion exiles with the likes of crocs?

I think Uggs can look decent, I have seen people rock their outfits in Uggs before!

I don’t care how ugly they are (I wear them a lot but I admit they aren’t the most stylish looking things) my feet always seem to be cold and in this freezing weather I need something to try and keep the heat in even more and they work!
If someone knows of a warmer more stylish alternative I’m all ears but until the country defrosts (or I move to warmer climates) I’m all for them but only in black of course
At least Uggs have a function though where as crocs are just godamn ugly and serve no purpose whatsoever…

I agree uggs are the most ugly boots ever and I would not wear them unless I’m going to the North Pole.

Hey, this IS a proper outfit post!!
As an aussie (and UGGS originated in Australia), I hate UGG boots, and most people I know do – except for indoor wear, as slippers in winter. They were in fashion 30 years ago here, and there’s just that “bogan” factor, you know?
But remember, it never gets that cold here (except maybe in Tasmania), so we don’t have the need that other countries do.

Admittedly, we don’t have weather that’s very cold, so there’s no need, unlike other countries.

hehe, ah the Uggs debate, or as I like to refer to them, Fuggs.
I live in a small surf town in California, and for some reason they are EVERYWHERE, ALWAYS! Summer or winter (which is rainy, not snowy), soccer mom’s and teenage girls and everyone in between wear these things like they own stock. Over sweats and mini skirts, no less. Ugh I don’t like ‘em! They aren’t even waterproof! I for one want some nice fleece-lined leather boots that don’t look horrendous, but they’re pricey.
Anyway that’s my rant ;]

I was always against Uggs. Until one day I was tailgating at a football game in wholly inappropriate footwear. I bought Uggs that day and have never looked back. I might complain about how they give me elephant ankles but at least my feet are toasty. I highly recommend them! I just avoid wearing them in the summer with mini skirts or shorts. Skinny jeans and leggings are doable.

Hey! Nice outfit leh, how’s your holiday? Hmm personally I live in my Doc Martens, despite its dated reputation and all. It’s comfortable and I don’t think it looks bad when paired with the right stuff, but maybe that’s just me and my lack of fashion sense /dies
ANYWAY, I wouldn’t wear Uggs unless my toes are freezing off. Even Popteen models look like crap in them, what hope do we have?

those look nice, but have u seen the stacked heeled desert boots that alexa chung designed with madewell?? they’re GORGEOUS!
