We interrupt this normal transmission of runway reviews with something closer to the heart.
Yes, I do mean shoes.
We’re often met with the problem of dwindling shoe funds. There can only be that many ways to wear a pair of shoes, or boots for the matter. Folding it down, lacing it up a different way. There’s only so many looks you can create with it.
For shoe enthusiast Stephanie Kim, it was a problem she faces too thus birthed her idea of creating shoe accessories to devise new ways of wearing existing shoes.
Her brand dekkori features many new and exciting accessories to wear with a simple court shoe, pointy stilettos or just some forgotten mary-janes at the back of your shoe closet.
I especially love how I can turn a pair of normal shoes into awesome looking boots.
However, that being said, the price of these shoes accessories can actually buy me another pair of shoes.
DIY anyone?
What do you think? Shoe accessories? or the money to pay for more shoes?

totz diy recommemded.

I’ll try I’ll try~!

I say DIY and/or money for shoe accessories, unless one accessory costs the same as a new pair, then it seems to defeat the purpose.

lmao this actually reminds me of something cosplayers frequently make: Boot/shoe covers. ‘cos we’re too poor to keep buying shoes for each new cosplay.

I just saw something similar to these last night on another site. I think its a really funky idea and they are cute but with that price I could have bought another pair.
Sounds like a good DIY idea though.

True. I would actually like more pairs of shoes when it comes to spending the same amount of money. It just seems more tangible than shoe accessories.

These are some of the best spats I’ve seen but I’d probably lean towards buying a new pair of shoes and… attempting some DIY?

I think a DIY for the last one is possible with some of those old school jelly bracelets like the ones here:

As long as you could find bracelets long enough to accomidate your legs
Im thinking cut them in half, find a long strip to use for the back of the accessory, and lay one end on it- use sturdy paper to protect your iron and then iron them on to fuse them to the backing, and then do the same in a way that creates a tube.
Not sure exactly how that would work but that was the first thing that came to mind C:
