New Yorkers might find this place familiar. It is indeed the washroom in Saks Fifth Avenue. I was bathed in a golden light when I walked in and demanded my companions to take photos of me while I posed. You might find it weird and possibly disbelieving but I’ve always found sunlight very different from the ones we have in the tropics. The sun hits the earth at a very different angle.

It was -9°C that Saturday. I remember it wasn’t crowded at all despite the weekend. The cold has probably deterred many from shopping. I remember being sooooo grateful for the sukiyaki dinner I had.

And for peeps who can’t really see what’s going on in the pic, here’s an idea (I couldn’t find the exact draped cardigan so the replacement will have to do)

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Wool Jacket with harness: Topshop Unique
  • Draped Cardigan: Forever 21
  • Jeans: H&M
  • Boots: H&M

I don’t know if I’ve confessed this but I hate winter, okay anywhere below 10°C. I like my layering but if it means I have to don many layers of thermal and have my speech impaired due to the cold, then no thanks.

That being said, I still think the snow makes everything beautiful and charming though I would much prefer to admire it from my computer screen. Winter and I don’t mix very well.

The sun seems so hard to come by but what little of it we had made everything seem golden.

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Leather Jacket: All Saints
  • Circle Scarf: m)phosis
  • Pants with Pleather inserts: NastyGal.com
  • Boots: Esperanza
  • Gloves (hanging from the glove clip on my bag): Lanvin
  • Beret: I don’t remember omg.

This has got to be the most comprehensive coverage of the exhibition because we are awesome like that (actually no, it’s cause we were there even before the official opening)

Let me first flash you a giant pic of myself.

Okay, make that two.

There’s going to be a lot more photos ahead so brace yourselves.

I must say I am absolutely stumped when it comes to naming pictures. Right now, I am just shuffling through my iTunes library and picking out suitable titles. I am sure all of you will get a pretty comprehensive idea of what I listen to after a while, unfortunately.

So why is the title appropriate in this case? It’s because I am on a freaking quest to devour the universe, and there’s nothing like these utilitarian clothes to allow for (and disguise) my expanding girth.

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Beanie: m)phosis
  • Jacket: G2000
  • Top (worn as a one-piece): Cotton On
  • Shoes: Bugis street
