After Arissa bought a cape/blazer hybrid the other day, I couldn’t resist getting it for myself when I saw a similar one online.

The cape on the left is by m)phosis (which I got on sale!), and the somewhat sturdier material would make it just nice for chillier weather in spring or autumn. I can’t wait to layer it over my outfits the next chance I leave this tropical hellhole.
The cape-blazer (Blape? Clazer?) from the Scarletroom on the other hand is really lightweight and probably won’t keep the chills out. It is still a great layering piece, though! I like that it deviates from the usual cardigans and blazers in my closet, and it looks smart without being too prim.

God knows what was going through my mind when I told Dawn at gunpoint that we are starting a fashion blog. I didn’t think that it was so.much.work.

But in all honesty, I’m really glad that we did and I couldn’t have done it without Dawn and the support of all our wonderful wonderful readers.

Scrolling through the past 2 years of archive brings a tear to my eye (true story) what a long way we’ve come and we hope to constantly improve.

Thank you once again, here’s to many more years to come. :)

Much love,

Arissa & Dawn

PS: Remember that we can also be contacted via Twitter, Facebook and Formspring~!!!

Wearing almost everything new! Well, at least the jacket, bag and some accessories.

Dawn was never a fan of ramen but I recently converted her by bringing her to Santouka Ramen. Sometimes I wished my camera has a shrink function so I can bring it out where ever I go, I had a pretty decent outfit just a few days before at a wedding. Got to wear my impossible YSL cage heels but mehhhh, no photos, save for the lousy TwitPic on our twitter.

These shoes look deadly but they are oh-so-comfy~ I love how Esperanza shoes flatter your legs but are still extremely comfortable to wear.

My pathetic attempt at a JAK&JIL-esque paparazzi shot.

Let’s admire the architectural wonder that is my shoes.

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Camisole: H&M
  • Shorts: m)phosis
  • Jacket: My Room, Far east Plaza
  • Socks: Emilio Cavallini from ASOS
  • Shoes: Esperanza, Tokyo
  • Clutch bag: exhibit, Far east Plaza
  • Accessories: Chanel tattoos, ASOS, m)phosis, various other places

I’ve been coming home with mysterious packages, averting my mum’s attention with incessant banter as I try to nonchalantly walk into my room. Alas, some of them came in the mail, long story short, my mum is not pleased.

New Ann Demeulemeester boots (A/W 2007? Can someone enlighten me on this?) !!! A gift from Dawn, an early birthday present! :D It’s one size too big unfortunately but I love it all the same. Will need to break into it soon.

New clutch bag from exhibit at Far East Plaza (this is the last one though)! My friend was carrying it and it looked awesome. I’ve still been trying to get used to the idea of bring out clutch bags, they can get pretty heavy cause I stuff too many things in there. This clutch contain both my MacBook Air and my DSLR. How awesome is that???

Jacket from My Room at Far East Plaza too. I wanted something with a kimono sleeve-esque silhouette, guess this makes the cut.

My new harness from AudraJean on Etsy finally came in as well. It’s double-belted, hopefully I’ll get to wear it out soon.

Leather thorn bracelet I got from a random shop in Far East Plaza (I really don’t remember the name of the store and this is the last piece). It was the star buy of the day. I can’t believe how much shopping luck I was having that day. Most of the stuff I got were the last pieces.

Knuckle ring from ASOS. I hate how rings are always too big or only fit on my ring finger. *glum*

I think there should be as many “For sale” posts as my “recent purchases”. Time to stop procrastinating and start on selling stuff.
