It’s never too late for a regression session, and I just had a great one thanks to Hongkong Disneyland and Nuffnang!

I know this is not a food blog, but honestly who can resist roasted pork? Not me, that’s for sure. Right after we arrived at Disneyland, we had a wonderful lunch at the Crystal Lotus restaurant located at the Disneyland Hotel.
But what sets it apart from the abundance of good chinese restaurants in Hong Kong? Disney themed food of course! These are the Chicken Little buns I squealed about on Twitter.

Disneyland Hotel. It’s really as if you’ve just left reality behind.

At this point, right about everyone and their mom has written about Taylor Momsen. I like Taylor Momsen, despite what everyone says about her eyeliners and garters and I like GossipGirl. THERE I’VE SAID IT~!!! Don’t judge me!

Some say her style may be repetitive and boring…even predictable after awhile but hey~!! We wear what suits us most right?

I’m jealous of that long blonde hair and copious amount of eyeliner she can pull off. I’d just look like some wailing bride who’s been left standing at the altar.

And it’s pretty obvious she enjoys wearing black but that’s not why we like her so much. *shifty eyes* (okay maybe that’s ONE of the factors.)

I love that she pays attention to her accessories too.

So here we try and replicate her look:

  • Dress: Supreme Cotton Tiered Sleeveless Dress by Acne
  • Shrug: Maison Martin Margiela Spider Web Shrug
  • Stockings: House of Holland
  • Shoes: Alexander Wang ‘Freja’ Lace-Up Boot
  • Bag: Proenza Schouler PS1-C-1 Medium, Lux Leather
  • Rings: Alexander McQueen, nOir, kabiri
  • Bracelet: Leather Thorn from Ann Demeulemeester

What do you think of Taylor Momsen’s look? Hate it or love it?

The last time I was in London with Dawn, we were too preoccupied to actually have any photos taken.

This time, I had the chance to meet up with Jingna in London. Both of us have a penchant for meeting overseas instead of back home in Singapore. So far we’ve covered Tokyo, Beijing, New York and London. I’m excited to know where we’ll be meeting next.

I took her to Liberty near Oxford Circus to drool over the Ann Demeulemeester, Rick Owens, Acne and Helmut Lang that they have there. Ah, I wish I could afford them all. She was pretty smitten with my leather jacket and was surprised to know that I got it from All Saints which was based in London. So we went on a pilgrimage to find it in the size and colour she wants. We went to a total of 3 stores but found it eventually. It’s a lovely piece and I absolutely love the drapes.

Black Outfit Breakdown:

  • Leather Jacket: All Saints
  • White draped jersey top: random store in Doota, Dong Dae Mun (Seoul, Korea)
  • Leggings with leather panel detail: Nasty Girl
  • Boots: Esperanza
  • Bag: random bag store in Studio Alta (Shinjuku, Tokyo)

Photos taken by the lovely zemotion ala Jingna. In case you don’t already know her awesomeness, you can visit her website and blog.

Hey everyone! Yay for titles with no relevance whatsoever! I’ve decided to do a meme in the spirit of things recently, listing my top 6 (because I was too lazy to think of 10) favourite items/activities with regards to fashion. Why only fashion? Because none of you needs to know that all I do is play Super Mario and Left 4 Dead all day instead of blogging diligently like I ought to. Or that I own an impressive collection of zombie-related literature and survival guides. Well, now you know, but don’t judge okay!

Moving on,

I.Bracelets! I have so many of them that I can make arm guards when I wear them all at once. Sometimes Arissa and I would stack them all together and play some sort of weird accessory Jenga when we are bored. I prefer metal bracelets or leather cuffs with metal detailing. I am not really a fan of charm bracelets.

II. DIY! I am absolutely useless at the more feminine crafts of knitting, crocheting or embroidering. What I lack in these however, I try to make up for it with sewing, shredding and cutting. That being said, if any of you have something you want to suggest to us for DIY, please please go ahead and ask!!

III. Chains. Chain detailing, chain bracelets, chain bags… We have enough chain necklaces combined to put Mr. T and Givenchy to shame, I swear.

IV. With what seems like a contination of above, chunky necklaces! I absolutely adore those with a metric shitton of useless junk dangling off it.

V. Hair accessories. Practically a religion for me. I never feel that an outfit is complete unless I do my hair, and my hair is rarely complete without a hair accessory. I have so many hats, hairbands and clips it’s not even funny.

VI. If hair accessories are a religion, then shoes must be the holy grail.

    Hong Kong Disneyland!

I had the oppurtunity to travel to Hong Kong Disneyland over the weekend as a star guest.

The more observant of readers might notice that these pictures were taken in the same location as the previous set, with the addition of a few inches of snow. I try not to take pictures in the same location as a rule of the thumb, but there is just a certain tranquil beauty to this place that changes completely with just a night’s worth of snowfall. I really wish my photography could do justice to it but I am busy as I am trying not to fall down and plunge to my death.

An idea of how high in the hills the woods are.

Black Outfit Rundown:

  • Top: FCUK
  • Cardigan: H&M
  • Skirt: Sonia Rykiel for H&M
  • Tights: Topshop
  • Shoes: Sonia Rykiel for H&M

On a separate note, I am heading to Hong Kong this weekend courtesy of Nuffnang and Hong Kong Disneyland. I have never actually been to Hong Kong despite its close proximity to Singapore, and needless to say I am pretty excited about this trip. A weekend less of toiling in the heatwave in Singapore is perfect in my books. Knowing how good the shopping is in Hong Kong and how many plush toys I’ll be buying in Disney itself, I fully intend to travel with a half empty luggage and a completely empty stomach to savour the culinary delights the place has to offer.

I am starting to imagine what pictures to take and what to wear already by just looking at the pictures. Have I also mentioned that it’s my maiden voyage to Disneyland? As a child, the closest Disney was probably in Paris so I have not had the opportunity to visit. Its amazing that it has finally been brought to a place only a few hour’s flight away so that more people can have the Disney experience without travelling half the world away. I know I am definitely going to have a regression session at the theme parks and rides in Disneyland, as well as terrorize the mascots there. Look forward to the many pictures I’ll be taking at this wonderful place!
