I know I am nearly one year late to this, but recently, I have just been reminded of their awesomeness while flipping through back issues of magazines. Paired with a pair of black pumps, it gives the illusion of a really awesome pair of shoes. Not to mention the design have a really slimming effect. I realized that there are probably too many “awesome” being used here, but that’s just what those tights are – awesome.

Unfortunately, I am far from being able to spend a few hundreds on tights, so I am now actively searching for knockoffs, which coincidentally, are too sold out everywhere. C’est la vie.

AD_day out-2

Dawn and I met again today to attempt to do something productive for our little project.

We have been eyeing this quaint little cafe in Shaw Towers, Singapore called Hairloom & Caramel operated by 2 guys. It’s a wonderful mix of mismatched furniture and beautiful colours (never thought I’d say this did you?).

AD_day out-6The ambiance was perfect. They didn’t rush us, in fact they took their own time to do the stuff they needed to do but the food arrives promptly on incongruous tableware.

They had some interesting items on sale but we were honestly too preoccupied with the environment.

I absolutely adore the Bread pudding that was served.

Arissa outfit post 03

I was out shopping with Dawn. Too much money has been spent today.

Nothing much about this outfit, except featuring my favorite cap which has an embroidered dragon. I bought this in Ueno, Tokyo in an obscure shop frequented by the Yakuza I think. The shop owner seems to have plenty of photos taken of them.

I love my tees.

I think the most awesome people can wear a white tee and jeans and still look fashionable.

And then there is your Complex Geometries, which makes tees looks like they are engineered. You wonder how it’s made and how it’s worn.

I am still in awe since my last Complex Geometries post and now it has taken the attention of Jak&Jill and there are some amazing pictures for the White tee project.

When you put studs and feathers together, you get Givenchy’s 2009 Ready-to-wear collection. Riccardo Tisci gave a new edge to high fashion bondage by adding in elements like feathers, pleats and fabric covered beads. Drapey fabrics and structured shoulders give this collection a more 3-dimensional look to what would normally be just an hourglass silhouette.

This is my favourite outfit in the entire show. Oversized chains, check. Feathered shoes, check. Long one-sleeved fishnet dress, check.

Some familiar details from what we’ve seen over at Stylebubble and Outsapop, the fabric bubble detail can also be seen in Givency’s collection

And then there are shoes. The feathers make for extremely impractical details for daily wear but… the irrational part in our heads just wants them so bad.
